About Me and My Love of Photography

When I was young and would visit family or friends; I would admire the pictures they had set out or hanging on the wall. I would ask questions, just so I could hear about the person or place the photo was taken. It made me feel like I knew them or had seen the place first hand.

When I visited museums, I would rush to the section with photos. I would listen to the guide, as they would explain about the photo and discribe the photographer and his/her explanation for the work. I would admire the detail and feel envious over the feeling that photographer had taking the picture.

I thought that my love for pictures was because I wanted to be a model. I model from 1995-2003. However in 1998, I got my first real camera and spent weeks taking pictures. From the very moment the camera was in my hand I realized that I loved being behind the camera more than I liked being in front of it.

I spent hours studying at the library to find different techniques and ways to capture just the right photo.

I realized, I was final able to help start the conversation about the picture on the mantle, that this time the conversation was about what I captured and brought to a photo for a client.

When I look through the eye of the camera, I see endless possibilities for creating something that shows not only an image but the personality traits and feelings in that moment.

I have a passion for photography, that makes me enjoy all of photography. I would never be able to pick a favorite subject. I love being able to tell a story in a photograph. I believe that you can find the beauty in anything if you look hard enough.

I photograph people, places, even objects; that I feel expresses the image of humanity and shows a clear reason for being.  I find that a candid images is just as great as posed positions.

I feel that the rings and bouquet, are just as important as the bridal party gathering to take pictures. Its a sleeping infant laying with its mother, or a college student, coming home from school for the family reunion, inbetween his granparents.

I have been told that I have such a creative eye, my patients and professionalism is without compare. I will do my best to help you relax and enjoy the moment. My worst trait is my need for perfection.  I want every client to feel, that not only are they happy with the work, but that I made them feel confortable and they enjoyed their time with me.
